We are proud to give you an insight into our participation in the Big Bang KI Festival in Berlin, one of the largest events around artificial intelligence, digitalization and modern technologies.
Luke Barwanietz visited the event on site for ECSO CLOUD to learn about current technological developments, make new contacts and experience the numerous innovations for himself. This gave a versatile impression of how companies already work with artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and digital technologies.
Europe's Centre of Artificial Intelligence
Already when entering the festival grounds it became clear how great the diversity of modern technologies has become. Numerous companies presented their products, projects and innovations. Between interactive stands, large stages and various experience areas, visitors were able to try out numerous technologies themselves and get into direct contact with the respective companies.
The size of the event was also impressive. Lectures and discussions were held on several stages, from smaller rounds of talks to large events with several thousand listeners. Numerous managing directors, experts from the technology industry and well-known personalities from business and politics were represented.
Experience progress up close
Particularly interesting were the numerous different stands and interactive stations. There were also one or the other exhibitor whose offer did not have to do directly with artificial intelligence. One example of this was the Lufthansa station: Here, visitors had to push a suitcase over a marked area and try to move it as skillfully as possible into the specified areas. Those who successfully mastered the challenge could look forward to corresponding prices. A small but quite entertaining change between the many AI and technology topics of the festival.
In addition, there were also numerous stands that dealt significantly more with robotics and artificial intelligence. A special highlight was the robot fights, in which two people each controlled their robots with remote controls and let them compete against each other. The robots were able to use different techniques and with their different movements and actions for exciting and entertaining duels.
Apart from the struggles, there were also numerous possibilities to experience modern robotics for yourself. Among other things, various robot arms could be viewed at close range and their movements controlled themselves. This gave a direct impression of how precise and versatile modern robotics can now be used.
These interactive applications made the visit particularly interesting. Instead of just looking at technologies on a screen, visitors could become active themselves, try different systems and experience how different robotics and modern technologies can be used.
Sim-Racing, mobility and digital technologies
In addition to robotics, there were numerous other areas to discover. A special highlight were the sim-racing stations from Opel. Here Luke could sit behind the wheel and try the racing simulator.
The realistic simulation gave an impression of how modern digital technologies can be combined with real vehicle technology.
But not only mobility and robotics were the focus. Numerous other exhibitors showed their applications and solutions and gave insights into the different applications of modern AI and cloud technologies.
ECSO CLOUD on site
The visit had a clear professional background: Luke Barwanietz was on site for ECSO CLOUD to get to know current developments, to find out about new technologies and to seek exchange with other companies and participants.
In addition to the numerous exhibitors and technical demonstrations, the focus was therefore also on networking. Discussions were held, experiences exchanged and new contacts made.
Especially the personal exchange with other participants and companies offered interesting insights and new perspectives on the current developments around artificial intelligence and digitalization.
Exchange and meetings
In addition to the large stages and open exhibition spaces, there were also various areas for meetings and personal exchange. Small, specially furnished meeting rooms offered the opportunity to hold conversations away from the hustle and bustle in a quieter atmosphere.
For ECSO CLOUD, the visit also offered the opportunity to exchange impressions of the day within their own company. In a joint meeting, the various experiences and observations could be discussed and the impressions gained at the festival could be arranged from the point of view of ECSO CLOUD.
It was not just about seeing which technologies are currently being presented. The discussions with other companies and participants as well as the question of which developments could be relevant for their own work and the future of modern cloud and AI infrastructures also played an important role.
The personal exchange within ECSO CLOUD thus complemented the many conversations and impressions that had arisen during the tour of the festival grounds. This allowed new ideas to be taken up, experiences shared and interesting contacts from the festival visit to be deepened further.

The visit to the Big Bang KI Festival has impressively shown how diverse the development around artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and digital technologies has become.
From interactive applications to modern simulations to major lectures, the festival offered numerous opportunities to get to know current developments from different perspectives.
