Introducing Gen2: The Next Evolution of Our Infrastructure

Exciting changes are on the horizon at ECSO CLOUD! We are thrilled to officially announce our upcoming transition to Gen2, a massive evolution of our global infrastructure scheduled to launch on September 1, 2026. In proud collaboration with Telehouse, this next generation upgrade represents a complete restructuring of our network, hardware and location strategy which is all designed to deliver unprecedented performance, flexibility and reliability for your workloads.

Strategic Shift to Europe

As part of this evolution, we are sharpening our geographic focus to provide world class service where it matters most. We have made the strategic decision to phase out our current data centers in the U.S. and Japan. Instead, we are deeply anchoring our roots in Europe. To power this vision, we have officially signed contracts to take ownership of a massive 65,000 m² facility, allowing us to secure the necessary space and focus entirely on optimizing our core services.

Enhanced Power and Networking

Under the hood, Gen2 brings a monumental leap in raw power and networking capabilities. We are migrating from our existing AMD CPUs to next generation, highly powerful Intel based servers. Alongside this massive processing boost, you can expect network connectivity per node to be twice as fast than Gen1.

New Storage Cloud Offerings

We are also incredibly excited to expand our product lineup with this move. Based on your feedback, we are introducing a brand new server category named Storage Cloud, powered by high capacity HDD storage. Additionally, while our infrastructure has previously only supported virtual NVMe hard drives, we are currently building out the capabilities to allow you to add external HDD servers to your environment.

We know how critical uptime is for your operations, and we are committed to making this transition seamless. The exact migration timeline is being carefully mapped out in close collaboration with our partners and we will announce the detailed migration schedule to all customers as soon as the final planning phases are complete.
