Remember when we first announced our upcoming Gen2 release? We have seen your excitement and we know many of you have been eagerly counting down the days. Today we are thrilled to officially pull back the curtain and share what is happening under the hood. Gen2 is not just a routine patch or a minor spec upgrade, it is a complete ground up rebuild engineered to deliver faster compute, massive low cost storage, rock-solid infrastructure resilience and ultra clean networking.
Next Gen Compute Muscle & Unbeatable Storage Value
First up, let’s talk pure compute performance and capacity. To give your applications the muscle and consistency they demand, we are transitioning our Cloud Servers away from AMD systems and upgrading to high performance Intel Xeon processors running at up to 3.6 GHz. Alongside faster processing, we know high capacity storage can often break the bank. That’s why we are introducing new Cloud Storage Servers capable of scaling up to 15 TB of HDD storage at an insanely competitive price coming in at less than €5 per month for 1 TB. Whether you are archiving massive databases or hosting heavy backups, high capacity hosting just became vastly more accessible.
Enterprise Drive Security & Off-Grid Power Autonomy
Hardware power means nothing without peace of mind, which is why data security and power redundancy are central to this launch. We are upgrading our drive infrastructure to new datacenter grade Intel SSDs equipped with advanced, built-in protection against power loss and sudden outages, ensuring your critical data stays uncorrupted. Furthermore, we have expanded our physical facility's energy capacity. Should the local power grid ever fail, our datacenter can now run seamlessly on our own dedicated fuel generators for up to two full days at 80% electricity load.
Double the Bandwidth, Bulletproof Routing & Pristine IP Reputation
When it comes to connectivity, we are doubling down on speed, uptime and email deliverability. For starters, we are doubling total bandwidth for our compute resources from 200 Gbps to a massive 400 Gbps, keeping your throughput smooth during peak traffic. To guarantee maximum uptime, we have implemented two physically separate entry points into our datacenter powered by two distinct ISPs. These providers completely handle ASN management and dynamic routing, meaning seamless failover if an upstream issue ever arises. Best of all for your email delivery rates, we will officially move away from OVH as an ISP, migrating our new IP networks onto high reputation ASNs so your outbound emails actually reach the inbox instead of the spam folder.
Looking Ahead & Partnering in Your Growth
Our team is currently executing the final phases of testing and deployment to ensure a smooth, seamless transition. As we prepare for the official launch, we welcome your feedback on how these enhancements align with your ongoing infrastructure requirements. Whether your priority is leveraging high frequency Intel Xeon compute, expanding archival capacity or utilizing cleaner IP routes for critical communications, we are eager to hear your thoughts. Which of these Gen2 upgrades will have the greatest impact on your deployment strategy?
